FAMOUS FALSE PROPHETS

Billy Graham and C. S. Lewis have done more harm to the cross of Jesus Christ and to the truth as it is in Jesus than probably any two men in the entire history of modern Christianity. Both are two CLASSIC examples of "having a form of godliness while denying the power thereof." Both are two CLASSIC examples of Christianity WITHOUT the Holy Ghost. WHOLLY WITHOUT the Holy Ghost. Both are two CLASSIC examples of the ZEAL OF THE FLESH operating in place of the Holy Spirit and thereby USURPING THE ROLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IN EVANGELISM, just as in the dichotomy between the Religionists of Judaism and Jesus in the days of the Son of God, for the words that Jesus spake are SPIRIT AND LIFE; the words that Billy Graham and C. S. Lewis spake are FLESH AND DEATH [2 Timothy 3:5, John 6:63, Jude 1:19, John 16:2].

God warned that he would send strong delusion on the world prior to the return of Jesus Christ in his glory. Both Billy Graham and C. S. Lewis are two integral components of that prophecy -- not the prophecy in its entirety, mind you, not by any stretch of the imagination -- but two integral components nonetheless, and if you doubt that, you are blind through and through [2 Thessalonians 2:11].

Indeed, Billy Graham's FALSE JESUS and FALSE GOSPEL has FALLACIOUSLY CONVINCED multiplied MILLIONS, if not BILLIONS, into THINKING that they are saved when they are NOT, and all because of the FALSE JESUS, FALSE GOSPEL, and the FALSE METHODOLOGY of salvation perpetrated by him in his lavish but UNSPIRITUAL, UNSCRIPTURAL, FLESHLY crusades. In fact, Graham's procession of unsuspecting sheep plodding unwittingly down the aisles at his crusades is nothing less than a FLAGRANT ABOMINATION of a TRUE PROCESSION OF GOSPEL FAITH, and his methodology is POSITIVELY ABHORRENT to the TRUE SANCTITY of the TRUE gospel of Jesus Christ COMING IN APOSTOLIC QUICKENING POWER.

As a brief aside, I can speak from a personal standpoint on this matter, as I attended two Billy Graham crusades myself, BOTH of which occurred AFTER I had ALREADY been MIRACULOUSLY BORN AGAIN in the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE OF THE NEW BIRTH, and thus FILLED with the Holy Spirit myself PRIOR to attending EITHER crusade. Accordingly, the first crusade I attended took place in 1973 in Atlanta, the second about eight years later in Houston, and in NEITHER crusade was the Holy Spirit or his POWER ANYWHERE to be found. ANYWHERE. I mean, NOWHERE. The Holy Spirit was NOWHERE to be found in EITHER crusade. Not in the PREACHING, and certainly not in the INFLUENCE on the crowd. Nowhere WHATSOEVER. The Holy Spirit was ABSENT in his ENTIRETY as far as his MANIFEST EVANGELICAL INFLUENCE AND PRESENCE were concerned, and it is BEYOND CERTAIN that the Holy Spirit HIMSELF was NOT EVEN REMOTELY PRESENT in the PREACHING of Graham himself. Not even REMOTELY.

Oh, sure, Billy was persuasive in the flesh, as usual, but not due to any POWER of the Holy Spirit, but due rather to merely human enticement, a distinction which any GENUINELY BORN AGAIN Christian with even a SLIGHT degree of discernment can EASILY perceive. Sadly, however, the modern world is wholly ignorant of this distinction because the modern world by and large is wholly ignorant of the TRUE POWER of the Holy Spirit, having never WITNESSED or SEEN the TRUE MANIFESTATION OF THE HOLY SPIRIT actually legitimately occur for so many generations now, either in formal conservative Christianity, or other less structured orchestrations, and certainly not in the BLASPHEMOUS renditions of the Charismatics and Pentecostals.

That is not to say, of course, that within each crusade there wasn't a true conversion here and there, as there no doubt certainly were, but that only speaks to God's sovereign decrees and to his ability to use a donkey to project his will whenever and wherever he so desires, but that is all that it means. The efficacy of a TRUE work of God is in the POWER that is SUPERNATURALLY PROJECTED, and such as pricks men in their heart of hearts so that they CRY OUT IN DESPAIR FOR DELIVERANCE, not adhere to a human appeal and then walk calmly and calculatingly down an aisle with perhaps a few tears trudging down their faces. No indeed, the difference is NIGHT AND DAY, and thus a TRUE work of God is a work of MANIFEST POWER, such as happened in the book of Acts and other revivals down through the ages, "for the kingdom of God is not in word, but in POWER," and in that respect neither of Graham's crusades were biblical, NOT EVEN CLOSE, nor was Graham himself apostolic in either POWER OR TRUTH, NOT EVEN CLOSE -- I say, Graham himself was UTTERLY LACKING in Holy Spirit POWER and UTTERLY LACKING in Holy Spirit TRUTH -- and in the end, THAT -- AND THAT ALONE -- is the MARK -- the TRUE MARK -- of the blessing and favor of God in evangelism. Nor is there any other [1 Corinthians 4:20, 1 Corinthians 2:4, Acts 2:37].

In sum, therefore, this has been THE TRADEMARK of a Billy Graham Crusade over the past fifty years or so, namely, the CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE OF THE HOLY GHOST. And I do mean CONSPICUOUS. Indeed, THE, THE, THE TRADEMARK of a Billy Graham Crusade over the past fifty years or so has been the CONSPICUOUS ABSENCE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT, both in regard to his PRESENCE AND INFLUENCE on the crowd, and ESPECIALLY in his UTTER ABSENCE IN THE PREACHER HIMSELF. To be perfectly blunt, the crusades of Billy Graham, just like Billy Graham himself, have been WORKS OF THE FLESH, and NOTHING LESS, and not only has there already been AMPLE SCRIPTURAL EVIDENCE -- even in just the tiny bit written thus far -- to PROVE the veracity of these words, but the Bible itself FATALLY CONDEMNS Billy Graham and his FLESHLY, HERETICAL CRUSADES TO THE UTTERMOST, and the man who can't recognize this truth is a man who is himself UTTERLY DEVOID of the Holy Spirit, and therefore let him beware, for it is written -- "If any man have NOT the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS." Romans 8:9.

And that, as they say, puts a new wheel on the wagon, for the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ WITHOUT the POWER of the Holy Spirit does MORE DAMAGE -- INFINITELY MORE DAMAGE -- than NO PREACHING AT ALL. Of course, this is a truth that the fleshly and unregenerate really have no conception of, but a conception that is nevertheless unfalteringly true, and in that vein E. M. Bounds hit the nail on the head PRECISELY and described Billy Graham's preaching to a TEE on that score when he stated --

As I said, that description fits Billy Graham PRECISELY to a TEE, especially the times I have observed him. Not to mention, as I said, that Graham's Jesus is a FALSE Jesus; Graham's gospel is a FALSE gospel; and Graham's method of salvation is a FALSE method of salvation, even apart from his total lack of the Holy Spirit in his life or in his preaching.

The second man to do great harm to the cross of Christ and to the truth as it is in Jesus, C. S. Lewis, a man who preceded Graham slightly in time, and a man who, while not quite as popular as Graham at large, has nevertheless scattered the same degree of SPIRITUAL CARNAGE and SPIRITUAL FALSEHOOD around the world through his radio popularity and writings, which were prolific during his life, and which remain prolific today. Hence his inclusion with Graham in this exposition, for both men operated in the SAME FLESHLY SPHERE as one another.

In short, BOTH men -- Billy Graham and C. S. Lewis -- have shrouded GENUINE CHRISTIANITY in DARKNESS AND ERROR the world over, and BOTH have inflicted untold harm on COUNTLESS numbers of souls worldwide, for BOTH men have been PERSUASIVE and ATTRACTIVE to the FLESH, and there is NO GREATER DANGER to TRUE CHRISTIANITY than the FLESH MASQUERADING AS THE SPIRIT, and FOR THAT VERY REASON, therefore, it must be noted that BOTH men have consequently been a portion of that STRONG DELUSION that God is even now sending upon the world so that those who REFUSE to walk the straight and narrow and heed the WHOLE COUNSEL of God by SEEKING SALVATION DILIGENTLY AND LAWFULLY -- AS GIVEN CLEARLY IN MY DIRECTIONS BELOW -- may themselves be deceived and fall prey to the lie of false security, for the Bible is plain in this matter, and contrary to popular belief, Jesus Christ does NOT suffer gladly the WILLFULLY BLIND. It takes what the old-timers called "heart-work" to be saved, to be BORN AGAIN, and ALL who REFUSE to heed this are those who have and will succumb to the STRONG DELUSION that God has already begun to send upon the world, and they shall not escape.

The truly regenerate, of course, already know of what I speak, but just so there is no stone left unturned, I will very briefly press the case just a wee bit further...

Accordingly, I offer just TWO of MANY INFALLIBLE PROOFS for the above assertions, and these two INFALLIBLE PROOFS are MORE THAN ENOUGH PROOF for ALL who are TRULY INDWELT by the Holy Spirit and who TRULY HEAR the VOICE of Jesus Christ. If the following two INFALLIBLE PROOFS are not INFALLIBLE in your own spirit, then neither would it avail you if someone were to rise from the dead and explain it to you in vivid detail.

To begin with, the late C. S. Lewis, in his celebrated treatise, "Mere Christianity", in the chapter entitled, "Nice People Or New Men", made this arch-heretical statement --

And then Billy Graham, in a now widely published interview with Robert Schuller in 1997, made a similar arch-heretical and thoroughly, utterly, SATANIC statement when he opined in a live interview --

Here are two INFALLIBLE proofs of unregeneracy, as ALL who are GENUINELY born of the Spirit KNOW, and KNOW INFALLIBLY, and not only is there not a GENUINELY BORN AGAIN Christian ANYWHERE on this planet who wouldn't VEHEMENTLY DISAGREE with these two statements by Lewis and Graham, but likewise, there is not a GENUINELY BORN AGAIN Christian ANYWHERE on this planet who isn't VEHEMENTLY INCENSED at such a VILE DISAVOWAL OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS ENTIRE PERSON, INCLUDING HIS UNSEARCHABLE RICHES AND UNAPPROACHABLE GLORY! NOT ONE!!!

Unlike the unregenerate, those who are TRULY BORN OF THE SPIRIT have NO problem with TRACTION concerning the words of Jesus. It's as if the words of Jesus grew out of their own heart, even though the rest of the world is grossly dubious even about the most genteel sayings of Christ. That's because the deluded hearts of the unregenerate, even without a whiff of knowing it, have a great facility for rationalization and escapism, and a thousand other evasions. In spite of what Jesus said in the verses already quoted above at the very top of this treatise, which ALL who are TRULY BORN OF THE SPIRIT recognize as applying to Graham and Lewis just as snugly as a pea does to a pod, the unregenerate just can't quite make the connection, just as they will not quite be able to make the connection in these following words of Jesus as well, who yet spake again on the VERY SAME TOPIC as Graham and Lewis concerning his very own sheep...

The New Testament -- the Gospels in particular -- are overflowing with such testimonies, testimonies about the CERTAINTY of the believer knowing Jesus Christ INTIMATELY, and that it is IMPOSSIBLE to belong to Jesus Christ without KNOWING Jesus Christ INTIMATELY. Absolutely, utterly IMPOSSIBLE. There are NO exceptions, as Jesus Christ HIMSELF stated, and as ALL, ALL, ALL who are truly regenerate are aware of, and KNOW INFALLIBLY.

Again, as ALL who are TRULY BORN OF THE SPIRIT KNOW, and know INFALLIBLY, there is not a TRULY REGENERATE CHRISTIAN on this planet who could have made the statements that Graham and Lewis made. It ain't merely IMPROBABLE; it is ABSOLUTELY, UTTERLY IMPOSSIBLE. And if you disagree, you yourself need to be born again, for you have NEVER met Jesus Christ PERSONALLY in the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH. Wait and see.

For all you true seekers, hear and understand --

It is NOT possible to EXPERIENCE the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH and NOT know that Jesus Christ HIMSELF has PERSONALLY INTRODUCED HIMSELF in that EXPERIENCE. It is absolutely, utterly IMPOSSIBLE, and ALL who are genuinely born of the Holy Spirit KNOW it. There are NO exceptions WHATSOEVER.

It is utterly ABSURD to think that the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH could occur without a man KNOWING that Jesus Christ has PERSONALLY INTRODUCED HIMSELF to him. Absolutely, utterly ABSURD, and ALL, ALL, ALL who are born of the Spirit KNOW this, and know it INFALLIBLY, and NOBODY who is genuinely born of the Spirit could POSSIBLY make statements like Lewis and Graham above. It literally isn't possible. Not to mention the many other statements by Lewis and Graham, along with the absurd practices in the Graham Crusades. Ad nauseam. No sir, it isn't POSSIBLE for a GENUINELY born again Christian to make the statements that these men have made, or to engage in the practices that these men have engaged in. It literally is NOT POSSIBLE for a man INDWELT by the SPIRIT OF CHRIST to do so. Wait and see.

As Bunyan stated, the world is going to be SHOCKED at the "notables" that are shut out of heaven. Whoever hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Now then, you can gnash your teeth and bow down to your idols if you insist, or you can take Jesus Christ at his word. You can either believe the words of Lewis and Graham, along with the FALSE Jesus and the FALSE gospel that they BOTH preached, or you can believe the PLAIN words of Jesus Christ HIMSELF, who is Lord of all, and who ALONE makes the decision of who WILL, and who will NOT, enter his kingdom. The choice is yours...

Friend, YOU may have made a commitment to Jesus Christ, but unless you have EVIDENCE -- SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE -- unless you have SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE that Jesus Christ has made a commitment to YOU, by FILLING you with his Spirit, indeed, unless you have SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE that Jesus Christ has made a commitment to YOU by FILLING you with his Spirit, EXACTLY as described in the quotations noted in these two works on the FILLING of the Holy Spirit -- Part I, Part II -- then you will NEVER enter the kingdom of heaven, for if Jesus Christ has not borne witness to you here by FILLING you with his Spirit, neither will he bear witness to you there, when you stand before him at his judgment seat.

Consequently, I challenge every one of you, every one of you reading this right now, to SERIOUSLY EXAMINE YOURSELF, and be BRUTALLY HONEST with YOURSELF, for you can NEVER be FILLED with the Holy Spirit until you are BORN of the Holy Spirit in a MANIFEST SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE -- MANIFEST -- MANIFEST -- MANIFEST SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE -- and you will NEVER be BORN of the Holy Spirit unless you are BRUTALLY HONEST about your condition [2 Corinthians 13:5]. Accordingly, I warn you again, if you cannot HONESTLY and LEGITIMATELY claim the EXPERIENCE of being FILLED with the Holy Spirit, EXACTLY as demonstrated in the quotations here -- Part I, Part II -- a FILLING which occurs IMMEDIATELY UPON the MOMENT of REGENERATION, then do something about it NOW, while you still can -- I say, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOW, WHILE YOU STILL CAN -- for if you INSIST on DECEIVING YOURSELF, God not only will NOT STOP YOU, but God will actually ENHANCE YOUR ABILITY to FURTHER DECEIVE YOURSELF, and God will do this by imposing JUDICIAL BLINDNESS upon you, for God HATES LIES, and there is NO LIE that God HATES WORSE than the SELF-DECEIVING LIE, for the SELF-DECEIVING LIE is ROOTED IN PRIDE, and that is the very NATURE of wickedness and iniquity [2 Thessalonians 2:11, John 8:44, Matthew 11:25-26].

Have you ever FELT, have you ever EXPERIENCED, the MANIFEST POWER of the Holy Spirit SUPERNATURALLY INDWELLING YOU? If not, then never think of going to heaven, for you are not yet meet for heaven. And yet...

I tell you -- and I call Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to record against that day I stand before the Lord Jesus at his judgment seat -- indeed, I tell you that Jesus Christ can be KNOWN, and KNOWN more INTIMATELY than ANY other person in existence. Jesus Christ is not only the source of all life, he is likewise the sustainer and dispenser of all life, and he is therefore capable of making HIMSELF MANIFEST to his ELECT more certainly than any created being can make himself known to you, exactly as he has promised in [John 14:21-23], and numerous other passages.

If you will not prize your soul above ALL ELSE, you will NEVER be granted a SAVING audience with Jesus Christ. Blind Bartimaeus, as recorded in the gospels, would be saved at all costs. Will you be saved at all costs? If you will not be saved at all costs, you will not be saved by Jesus Christ at all.

Would you be born again? GENUINELY born again?

Then take wise counsel -- pick up a Bible based on the Traditional Text -- in English, the ONLY VALID Bible based on the Traditional Text is the King James Bible -- and then read with SOLEMNITY, beginning in the Gospels preferably, and beg Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, and give him no rest until he does, for if you read the TRUE written Word of God, you will find the Lord of Glory, even Jesus Christ, moving upon the face of the waters in its pages, just as he moved upon the face of the waters when he walked across the Sea of Galilee, and if you follow the advice just given, and if you persist, Jesus Christ HIMSELF will verily MANIFEST HIMSELF to you (for he HIMSELF promises to do this for those who truly heed this advice), just as he MANIFESTED HIMSELF to his disciples when he moved upon the face of the waters as he walked across the stormy sea some two thousand years ago, and just as he did with ME not too many years ago, and just as he has done with a FEW others from day to day since that time, in this very generation, and just as he will do for YOU if -- IF -- you heed my advice, and if -- IF -- you persist therein, for he who promised is FAITHFUL. John 14:21-23, Matthew 14:25-27
