TAUGHT BY THE SPIRIT

A well-known conservative pastor recently made a statement to the effect that UNTRAINED people have no right teaching God's Word. By UNTRAINED, he meant SEMINARY-TRAINED, and even stated so EXPLICITLY. This is, of course, nothing but PRIESTCRAFT at its sublimest level, ARROGANCE at its foremost nimbus, and INIQUITY in full blossom. It is, in fact, a statement made by a MANIFESTLY UNREGENERATE pastor, for NO TRULY REGENERATE pastor would EVER make such an insidious declaration.

In glaring contrast, let's hear from a man TRULY BORN OF GOD on this issue, from a REGENERATE Christian who was talking about this VERY matter, a REGENERATE Christian who possessed more knowledge of Jesus Christ in his little fingertip than the above pastor has ever had in his whole body, and probably ever will have, not unless he himself repents of his gross pride and arrogance and becomes born again himself --

The above pastor fits Bunyan's description to a tee in that he is full of a "SPIRIT OF WHOREDOM AND IDOLATRY CONCERNING THE LEARNING OF THIS WORLD, AND WISDOM OF THE FLESH", for there is not an IOTA of TRUE HOLY SPIRIT teaching coming out mainstream Christianity today, and this is ESPECIALLY true with the seminaries. The seminaries today are so far gone that they are irrecoverable. They are nothing but a cistern of UNREGENERATE INTELLECTUALISM, PRIDE, ARROGANCE, and RANK HERESY, even those who have a REFORMED PERSONA, but whose entire practice and dynamic is NOTHING BUT FLESH AND CARNALITY.

As another example, let's hear Spurgeon's take on this issue --

Any man who tells you that you need to sit under the feet of a modern-day Gamaliel, that is, under the feet of a seminary-trained pastor or teacher, is a fraud and a liar. He is a blind leader of the blind, and he has no portion in the kingdom of Jesus Christ, for he himself has never been taught of the Holy Spirit, which means he himself isn't born again, for NO man who has actually been taught of the Holy Spirit HIMSELF would EVER make such a devilish assertion.

In fact, EVERY GENUINELY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN is a PRIEST and a KING before God, and therefore EVERY GENUINELY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN has not only a DUTY and an OBLIGATION, but likewise the RIGHT to share his PERSONAL TESTIMONY and to PROCLAIM Jesus Christ to the lost and the saved alike, one to convert, the other to edify. This DUTY, OBLIGATION, and RIGHT applies to EVERY GENUINELY BORN AGAIN CHRISTIAN, not merely those who have been trained by flesh, and not merely to those who have been called by God to serve in a pastoral or evangelical capacity.

Friend, if you TRULY belong to Jesus Christ, if you are TRULY indwelt by the Holy Spirit, which is the Spirit of Christ, you can't HELP telling other people about Jesus Christ. If you TRULY belong to Jesus Christ, you can easier go without BREATHING than you can without proclaiming Jesus Christ. And if that is not your case, something is VERY, VERY, VERY WRONG.

And yet, your testimony and your proclamation of Jesus Christ must not be the canned fleshly drivel that comes out of today's seminaries and their ministers, but rather the real, genuine EXPERIENCE of you and Jesus PERSONALLY conversing and communing with each other as he teaches you by his Spirit and Word, EXPERIENCES that reek of heaven and the glory of Jesus Christ HIMSELF, for that is what the Holy Spirit is all about.

Tozer's observation on this subject is poignant, and yet so very true --

The pulpits of mainstream Christianity today are BURSTING AT THE SEAMS with EXACTLY this VERY THING, that is, the pulpits of mainstream Christianity today are OVERFLOWING with men who have been SEMINARY TRAINED, but who -- virtually to the man -- have ZERO training from the Holy Spirit, because they themselves are NOT BORN OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

And if you have to ask how a man can tell whether another man is born of and indwelt by the Holy Spirit or not, or how Tozer could recognize a man without the Holy Spirit preaching about the Holy Spirit, then you yourself need to be born again, for that is not a question that ANY GENUINELY born again Christian would ask. Nor do you have to know another man's heart, as the ignorant and unregenerate repeat ad nauseam. If they were born again themselves, they'd know that all you have to do is be able to RECOGNIZE the Holy Spirit in another person, which EVERY GENUINELY born again Christian is INSTANTANEOUSLY GIVEN THE GIFT TO DO when he is born again AND THUS CAN DO when he encounters another man or woman who is actually BORN of the Holy Spirit, just as Paul could recognize that the disciples at Ephesus were not born again when he first encountered them.

The seminary-trained pastor may have learning out the kazoo, but one thing he does NOT have is POWER -- GENUINE, SUPERNATURAL, HOLY GHOST POWER, just like the examples in the Book of Acts, as well as examples from countless Christians throughout history, such as Bunyan, Whitefield, et cetera and et cetera.

Because he himself is DEAD in spirit, the seminary-trained pastor or teacher has never actually witnessed the Holy Spirit FALLING ON THE HEARERS WHILE HE YET SPAKE, just as happened with Peter in Caesarea in the Book of Acts, and just as still happens today with those who are born of the Spirit and who therefore have POWER with God in the Holy Spirit when the Holy Spirit sends them forward and INITIATES their proclamation.

It is quite revealing that Charles Spurgeon INSISTED on there being EVIDENCE -- SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE -- of the Holy Spirit HAVING BEEN MANIFEST in the very LIFE AND SOUL of every STUDENT who applied to his Pastor's College BEFORE they were ever allowed to enter the school, a requirement that doesn't exist for seminaries today --

And no, I don't have to have attended these seminaries to know these things. That's because, like Jesus ordained, I know them by their fruits, and the fruit of seminary-trained pastors and teachers today is NOTHING BUT FLESH AND DEATH.

Oh, and far as sound DOCTRINE is concerned, there isn't a SINGLE, SOLITARY SEMINARY-TRAINED pastor or professor today who understands SPIRITUAL DOCTRINE, LIVING DOCTRINE, as sent home by the Spirit of Light and Fire, no not one, not unless he has UNLEARNED almost everything he learned in seminary in the first place.

The seminary-trained minister seeks and finds INTELLECTUAL KNOWLEDGE of Christianity in his pursuits, but nothing -- ABSOLUTELY NOTHING -- of GENUINE, SUPERNATURAL, HOLY SPIRIT Christianity. Nothing WHATSOEVER, and this INTELLECTUAL KNOWLEDGE is only DEADLY, DAMNING, and PRIDEFUL, and will send its adherents and all who follow them into eternal hell. Wait and see.

If you want REAL KNOWLEDGE, REAL TRUTH, then meet Jesus Christ PERSONALLY  -- and I do mean PERSONALLY -- in the UNMISTAKABLE SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH, and then set yourself down to be taught of him DIRECTLY. He teaches faster than all the angels and men in all of creation combined, EXACTLY as Tozer noted here --

This is not to say that you can't benefit from GENUINELY born again Christians who have been taught DIRECTLY BY THE HOLY SPIRIT, but the times in which we now live are the times for fleshly, carnal, vain Christianity, and it has FULLY arrived, being manifested NOWHERE more INTENSELY than in SEMINARY. Participate in it, therefore, and you will sink into eternal torment, for you are following blind leaders of the blind, men who have NOT the Spirit of Christ, and who have no portion in Jesus Christ's kingdom. None at all.

Do you?

Friend, YOU may have made a commitment to Jesus Christ, but unless you have EVIDENCE -- SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE -- unless you have SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE that Jesus Christ has made a commitment to YOU, by FILLING you with his Spirit, indeed, unless you have SUPERNATURAL EVIDENCE that Jesus Christ has made a commitment to YOU by FILLING you with his Spirit, EXACTLY as described in the quotations noted in these two works on the FILLING of the Holy Spirit -- Part I, Part II -- then you will NEVER enter the kingdom of heaven, for if Jesus Christ has not borne witness to you HERE by FILLING you with his Spirit, neither will he bear witness to you THERE, when you stand before him at his judgment seat.

Consequently, I challenge every one of you, every one of you reading this right now, to SERIOUSLY EXAMINE YOURSELF, and be BRUTALLY HONEST with YOURSELF, for you can NEVER be FILLED with the Holy Spirit until you are BORN of the Holy Spirit in a MANIFEST SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE -- MANIFEST -- MANIFEST -- MANIFEST SUPERNATURAL EXPERIENCE -- and you will NEVER be BORN of the Holy Spirit unless you are BRUTALLY HONEST about your condition [2 Corinthians 13:5]. Accordingly, I warn you again, if you cannot HONESTLY and LEGITIMATELY claim the EXPERIENCE of being FILLED with the Holy Spirit, EXACTLY as demonstrated in the quotations here -- Part I, Part II -- a FILLING which occurs IMMEDIATELY UPON the MOMENT of REGENERATION, then do something about it NOW, while you still can -- I say, DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT NOW, WHILE YOU STILL CAN -- for if you INSIST on DECEIVING YOURSELF, God not only will NOT STOP YOU, but God will actually ENHANCE YOUR ABILITY to FURTHER DECEIVE YOURSELF, and God will do this by imposing JUDICIAL BLINDNESS upon you, for God HATES LIES, and there is NO LIE that God HATES WORSE than the SELF-DECEIVING LIE, for the SELF-DECEIVING LIE is ROOTED IN PRIDE, and that is the very NATURE of wickedness and iniquity [2 Thessalonians 2:11, John 8:44, Matthew 11:25-26].

Have you ever FELT, have you ever EXPERIENCED, the MANIFEST POWER of the Holy Spirit SUPERNATURALLY INDWELLING YOU? If not, then never think of going to heaven, for you are not yet meet for heaven. And yet...

I tell you -- and I call Father, Son, and Holy Spirit to record against that day I stand before the Lord Jesus at his judgment seat -- indeed, I tell you that Jesus Christ can be KNOWN, and KNOWN more INTIMATELY than ANY other person in existence. Jesus Christ is not only the source of all life, he is likewise the sustainer and dispenser of all life, and he is therefore capable of making HIMSELF MANIFEST to his ELECT more certainly than any created being can make himself known to you, exactly as he has promised in [John 14:21-23], and numerous other passages.

If you will not prize your soul above ALL ELSE, you will NEVER be granted a SAVING audience with Jesus Christ. Blind Bartimaeus, as recorded in the gospels, would be saved at all costs. Will you be saved at all costs? If you will not be saved at all costs, you will not be saved by Jesus Christ at all.

Would you be born again? GENUINELY born again?

Then take wise counsel -- pick up a Bible based on the Traditional Text -- in English, the ONLY VALID Bible based on the Traditional Text is the King James Bible -- and then read with SOLEMNITY, beginning in the Gospels preferably, and beg Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, and give him no rest until he does, for if you read the TRUE written Word of God, you will find the Lord of Glory, even Jesus Christ, moving upon the face of the waters in its pages, just as he moved upon the face of the waters when he walked across the Sea of Galilee, and if you follow the advice just given, and if you persist, Jesus Christ HIMSELF will verily MANIFEST HIMSELF to you (for he HIMSELF promises to do this for those who truly heed this advice), just as he MANIFESTED HIMSELF to his disciples when he moved upon the face of the waters as he walked across the stormy sea some two thousand years ago, and just as he did with ME not too many years ago, and just as he has done with a FEW others from day to day since that time, in this very generation, and just as he will do for YOU if -- IF -- you heed my advice, and if -- IF -- you persist therein, for he who promised is FAITHFUL. John 14:21-23, Matthew 14:25-27
