MARKS OF REGENERATION III

As we saw in our first and second treatises on this topic, entitled MARKS OF REGENERATION I, and MARKS OF REGENERATION II respectively, the FIRST mark of regeneration is EXTREME HOLY GHOST LOVE for the MAN Christ Jesus, even the Jesus of the Bible, as opposed to a false Jesus, and the SECOND mark of regeneration, which is closely allied to the FIRST, is an EXORBITANT HOLY GHOST JEALOUSY for the GLORY of the MAN Christ Jesus, and an EXORBITANT HOLY GHOST ZEAL for the EXALTATION of Jesus Christ's NAME.

And thus we now come to the THIRD mark of regeneration, which is also part and parcel of the first two marks of regeneration, but which is also distinctly revealed as AN EXTREME DESIRE AND LONGING TO OBEY JESUS CHRIST, even the MAN Christ Jesus of the Bible. Indeed, BECAUSE the newly regenerated believer has an OVERRIDING, ABSOLUTE, IRREVOCABLE, BILLOWING, INTENSELY VIBRANT, CASCADING AVALANCHE OF PULSATING CONSUMING LOVE for the MAN Christ Jesus, even the Jesus of the Bible, RESULTING thereby in the newly regenerated believer's EXORBITANT JEALOUSY for the GLORY of Jesus Christ, and EXORBITANT ZEAL for exalting the NAME of the MAN Jesus Christ, so now, precisely BECAUSE of these first two marks of regeneration, so now the newly regenerated believer consequently has AN EXTREME DESIRE AND LONGING TO OBEY JESUS CHRIST in EVERY FACET of spiritual life and conduct. Indeed, from the MOMENT of his regeneration, the newly regenerated believer's CONVERSATION IS IN HEAVEN [Philippians 3:20], both spiritually and physically, though not to perfection by any stretch of the imagination.

This DESIRE and LONGING to OBEY the Lord Jesus Christ is the product of a twofold catalyst, namely, EXTREME LOVE to Jesus Christ in the first place, and the FEAR OF THE LORD, or GODLY FEAR in the second. Mark it -- this DESIRE and LONGING to OBEY the Lord Jesus Christ is the RESULT of the newly regenerated believer's EXTREME LOVE to Jesus Christ, along with his newly infused FEAR OF THE LORD, both of which are an INFALLIBLE FRUIT of the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost [Titus 3:5]. This GODLY FEAR is produced by the Holy Spirit upon the MOMENT of regeneration in ALL, ALL, ALL that he truly regenerates and indwells WITHOUT EXCEPTION. He that hasn't been INFUSED with an EXTREME LOVE to the MAN Christ Jesus, along with an EXTREME JEALOUSY AND ZEAL for the GLORY of Jesus Christ and the EXALTATION of his NAME, followed IMMEDIATELY by an EXTREME DESIRE AND LONGING TO OBEY Jesus Christ based on a HOLY FEAR OF GOD, is he who INFALLIBLY has NEVER been indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and who consequently has no portion in Jesus Christ's kingdom. None whatsoever. Not unless he repents and becomes genuinely born again.

As Jesus said, and as the Scriptures ABUNDANTLY testify, the ONLY man that loves Jesus is the man who KEEPS his commandments. None other truly love Jesus, and none other will ever set FOOT in Jesus Christ's kingdom, for none other have ever been genuinely born again. Beware, for he who doesn't KEEP Jesus Christ's commandments in this world is he who will NEVER set FOOT in Jesus Christ's kingdom in the next. You will surely say unto me -- "what about the thief on the cross?" And I tell you, that if the thief on the cross had been granted a reprieve by the Roman government and been allowed to come down from the cross alive after he had been converted to the LORD Jesus -- I say, after he had been converted to the LORD Jesus -- indeed, I tell you by the Holy Spirit HIMSELF that that thief would have KEPT Jesus Christ's commandments to his dying day, and just as diligently as Peter and Paul KEPT Jesus Christ's commandments to their dying day, if not more so. And note also that there is a VAST difference between JESUS CHRIST'S COMMANDMENTS and the LAW, that there is a VAST difference between the LAW OF THE SPIRIT OF LIFE and the LAW OF SIN AND DEATH. Nevertheless, I warn you again, if you will not KEEP Jesus Christ's commandments in this life, you will NOT set FOOT in Jesus Christ's kingdom in the next. Wait and see.

Make no mistake -- ALL, ALL, ALL who are indwelt by the Holy Spirit, even the Spirit of Christ, are INFUSED with a GODLY FEAR -- a SUPERNATURAL GODLY FEAR -- upon the MOMENT of regeneration -- there are NO exceptions -- I say, upon the MOMENT of regeneration -- and this GODLY FEAR manifests itself to the newly regenerated believer in a DEEP HUMILITY AND LOATHING OF SELF based on the knowledge that the newly regenerated believer had NOTHING -- and I mean NOTHING WHATSOEVER -- to do with his regeneration, but that his regeneration was WHOLLY of the Lord based on the PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION, even if the newborn can't yet elucidate the doctrine itself, nevertheless, the newborn KNOWS, and KNOWS INFALLIBLY, that his regeneration certainly had NOTHING -- and I mean NOTHING WHATSOEVER -- to do with ANYTHING that God FORESAW in him, such as faith, or good works, or what-have-you (and "faith foreseen" is a doctrine of both devils and feeble-minded reprobates alike, none of whom have EVER seen themselves in the light of the Holy Spirit, which is the light of the GLORY of Jesus Christ), indeed, the newly regenerated soul knows INFALLIBLY by the indwelling Holy Spirit that, in fact, his SALVATION, his REGENERATION, was SOLELY due to the ELECTION OF GRACE, even the ELECTION OF THE FATHER, who is FULL of grace and truth, just like his only begotten Son, Jesus Christ the Lord.

Thus KNOWING -- and KNOWING INFALLIBLY as a result of the indwelling Holy Spirit -- that he had absolutely NOTHING WHATSOEVER to do with his regeneration, but that his regeneration was based SOLELY on the ELECTION OF GRACE from God the Father, THAT THE PURPOSE OF GOD ACCORDING TO ELECTION MIGHT STAND, NOT OF WORKS, BUT OF HIM THAT CALLETH [Romans 9:11], so that God ALONE is glorified, yea, the newly regenerated believer consequently is INFUSED with a GODLY FEAR upon the MOMENT of regeneration, a SUPERNATURAL GODLY FEAR -- I say, the newly regenerated believer is INFUSED with a SUPERNATURAL GODLY FEAR upon the MOMENT of regeneration -- there are NO exceptions -- and thus the newly regenerated believer KNOWS -- and KNOWS INFALLIBLY -- that this GODLY FEAR is based on a DEEP HUMILITY AND LOATHING OF SELF which blossoms forth SUPERNATURALLY from the indwelling Holy Spirit as nothing less than the MANIFESTATION of the SUPERNATURAL REVELATION that it is GOD -- and God ONLY -- who has made the newly regenerated believer to DIFFER from the reprobate, that it is God ALONE who is responsible for the newly regenerated believer's ELECTION OF GRACE, and thereby his FAITH, for if his faith is GENUINE, if his faith is SAVING FAITH, then his faith is SUPERNATURAL FAITH, as opposed to the faith of FLESH, which so permeates Christianity today, indeed, the newly regenerated believer has been given SUPERNATURAL FAITH which proceeds FROM the ELECTION OF THE FATHER, a SUPERNATURAL FAITH which is GIVEN to the newly regenerated believer by JESUS CHRIST the SON, and a SUPERNATURAL FAITH which is IMPLANTED into the newly regenerated believer by GOD THE HOLY SPIRIT HIMSELF upon the MOMENT of regeneration, and thus, he who hasn't come to such a SUPERNATURAL REVELATION AND EXPERIENCE -- I say, he who hasn't come to such a SUPERNATURAL REVELATION AND EXPERIENCE of the ELECTION OF GRACE and thereby the RECEPTION OF SUPERNATURAL FAITH GIVEN FROM ABOVE, even as just described, though he can't yet articulate it, is he who INFALLIBLY has NEVER been indwelt by the Holy Spirit, and who consequently has no portion in Jesus Christ's kingdom. None whatsoever. Not unless he repents and falls on his face and begs Jesus Christ to reveal HIMSELF to him in the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH. Wait and see.

If the above quotations are not your EXPERIENCE -- think HARD on that word "EXPERIENCE" -- indeed, if the above quotations are not YOUR EXPERIENCE, if, when you claim you were born again, you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that you had NO FAITH, if, when you claim you were born again, you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that you had NO FAITH in you BY NATURE, that your OWN FAITH was nothing but a FLESHLY FAITH, that your OWN FAITH was nothing but the FAITH OF YOUR OWN HUMAN WILL AND NATURE, indeed, if, when you claim you were born again, you were not AWARE in the MOMENT of your VISITATION of RECEIVING SUPERNATURAL FAITH -- I say, if, when you claim you were born again, you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that you had NO SAVING FAITH of your own, and that you needed SUPERNATURAL FAITH in order to go to heaven, and were thus GIVEN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION SUPERNATURAL FAITH -- if this is not YOUR EXPERIENCE, then you are utterly delusional if you think you are born again. Absolutely, utterly delusional.

I don't care if you've been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for fifty years, I don't care if you are conservative in doctrine, I don't care if you have been a missionary on every continent in the solar system, if the above is not YOUR EXPERIENCE, if you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that you had NO FAITH -- NO SAVING FAITH -- in you BY NATURE, if you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that you needed SUPERNATURAL FAITH, SUPERNATURAL FAITH GIVEN FROM ABOVE in order to be saved [Ephesians 2:8], if you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that Jesus Christ HIMSELF must PERSONALLY INTRODUCE HIMSELF to you -- that is not metaphor, or symbolism, ad nauseam -- no indeed, if you were not SHOWN in the MOMENT of your VISITATION that Jesus Christ HIMSELF must PERSONALLY INTRODUCE HIMSELF to you in the UNMISTAKABLE SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH, indeed, if all of the above is not YOUR EXPERIENCE, whether you've been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for fifty years, and been a missionary on every continent, you will nevertheless NEVER set FOOT in Jesus Christ's kingdom,  and Jesus Christ HIMSELF, though you've been preaching in Jesus Christ's name for fifty years, though you've been witnessing in Jesus Christ's name on every continent in the world for your entire life, alas, Jesus Christ HIMSELF will nevertheless say unto you, "I NEVER KNEW YOU YOU. DEPART FROM ME!" [Matthew 7:23]. Wait and see.

Alas, there are MULTITUDES -- even MULTITUDES -- who fit the above pandemic, that is, there are MULTITUDES, even MULTITUDES, who have been preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for as much as fifty years or more, who have been missionaries all over the world, but who have NEVER actually EXPERIENCED the SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH as just described, yet who are too full of pride to now back down and confess that they are after all unregenerate, who are too full of pride to ADMIT that they have NEVER actually MET JESUS CHRIST PERSONALLY in the UNMISTAKABLE SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH, but who are so fully invested with their past accomplishments in the eyes of men, such as being the notable pastor of a church, or a famous evangelist or missionary, that they will in spite of themselves LOSE ETERNAL LIFE because of it, indeed, all because they were too FULL OF PRIDE to HUMBLE THEMSELVES and ADMIT that they have NEVER been truly regenerated, and accordingly too full of pride to fall on their faces before Jesus Christ and confess their unregeneracy and BEG Jesus Christ to CHANGE them and to INDWELL them and to MAKE THEM NEW CREATURES via the UNMISTAKABLE SUPERNATURAL MIRACLE OF THE NEW BIRTH. And the ultimate FOLLY of it all is the IRONY that those VERY people before whom they refuse to confess and admit their unregeneracy here and now, because of their foolish pride, those VERY people will trumpet their FOLLY in unison on the day of judgment, even though the vast, vast majority of those VERY people will accompany them into hell, for then their unregeneracy will be UNMASKED, yet not only before the VERY people they are too proud to confess and admit it before now, but also before ALL OF CREATION in that day. Wait and see.

Oh! How treacherous the way to heaven! No wonder the gatekeeper HIMSELF, even the MAN Christ Jesus, warned that it is FEW that will be saved. [Matthew 7:14]

My friend, when you claim you were born again, were you INFUSED upon the MOMENT of your supposed new birth with an OVERRIDING, ABSOLUTE, IRREVOCABLE, BILLOWING, INTENSELY VIBRANT, CASCADING AVALANCHE OF PULSATING CONSUMING LOVE for the MAN Christ Jesus, even the Jesus of the Bible, RESULTING thereby in an EXORBITANT JEALOUSY for the GLORY of Jesus Christ, and an EXORBITANT ZEAL for EXALTING the NAME of the MAN Jesus Christ, followed IMMEDIATELY by an EXTREME DESIRE AND LONGING TO OBEY Jesus Christ based on a HOLY FEAR OF GOD? If not, you haven't even been convicted by the Holy Spirit, much less regenerated. Not even close.

I ask you, can you remember the MOMENT you RECEIVED SUPERNATURAL FAITH? Can you REMEMBER THE MOMENT you were SHOWN, as noted by Bunyan, Owen, and Whitefield above, that YOUR OWN NATURAL FAITH was a DAMNING FAITH, and that you needed SUPERNATURAL FAITH to go to heaven? If not, you are beyond delusional if you think you're born again. Wait and see.

Would you be born again? GENUINELY born again?

Then take wise counsel -- pick up a Bible based on the Traditional Text -- in English, the ONLY VALID Bible based on the Traditional Text is the King James Bible -- and then read with SOLEMNITY, beginning in the Gospels preferably, and beg Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, and give him no rest until he does, for if you read the TRUE written Word of God, you will find the Lord of Glory, even Jesus Christ, moving upon the face of the waters in its pages, just as he moved upon the face of the waters when he walked across the Sea of Galilee, and if you follow the advice just given, and if you persist, Jesus Christ HIMSELF will verily MANIFEST HIMSELF to you (for he HIMSELF promises to do this for those who truly heed this advice), just as he MANIFESTED HIMSELF to his disciples when he moved upon the face of the waters as he walked across the stormy sea some two thousand years ago, and just as he did with ME not too many years ago, and just as he has done with a FEW others from day to day since that time, in this very generation, and just as he will do for YOU if -- IF -- you heed my advice, and if -- IF -- you persist therein, for he who promised is FAITHFUL. John 14:21, Matthew 14:25-27
