It is highly likely that you have never heard a sermon preached in demonstration of the Spirit and of POWER, for this generation of professing Christianity is wholly without the Holy Ghost, ESPECIALLY in the pulpits. Indeed, this generation of professing Christianity, from the great crusades to the corner churches, have been wholly devoid of the Holy Spirit for many years now. They all, from the great crusades to the corner churches, merely have a form of godliness while denying the POWER thereof.

In contrast, peruse a few examples of yesteryear as exemplified by one of the mightiest preachers ever, George Whitefield. Note also that the following statements by Whitefield are statements that ALL who are genuinely born of the Spirit can likewise testify to in preaching or giving their testimony --

Such preaching and teaching are wholly absent from the church today because there are hardly any genuinely born again preachers today. Moreover, contrary to their fleshly, unregenerate pronouncements, you are NOT to submit to, or to be in subjection to, an unregenerate pastor, nor a pastor who espouses false doctrine, such as the cult of modern scholarship and their support of modern "bibles" and the Critical Text, or such as the great heresy of free-will, a foul unregenerate doctrine which will keep a man from being genuinely born again faster than any other heresy there is. Nor are you to give your money to them.
Naturally, these fleshly, unregenerate charlatans will surely appeal to those Scriptures which discourse about the authority of pastors and teachers, and though I could bind them hand and foot with three-fold cords and demonstrate how wildly they misconstrue those Scriptures, suffice it to simply say that the Holy Spirit NEVER intended for ANY genuinely born again Christian to be in subjection to an unregenerate pastor or teacher. NEVER!
Today's pastors, preachers, and teachers have no POWER with God whatsoever. None. They have no POWER with God for they themselves are manifestly unregenerate. Accordingly, you best wake up, for they are blind leaders of the blind, and you will NEVER be born again yourself under their fleshly, unregenerate teaching.
If you would have more than just a name to live, ergo, if you would experience the RESURRECTION POWER of Jesus Christ in the MIRACLE of the NEW BIRTH, then heed closely the doctrine in the articles below.
Would you be born again? GENUINELY born again?
Then take wise counsel -- pick up a Bible based on the Traditional Text -- in English, the ONLY VALID Bible based on the Traditional Text is the King James Bible -- and then read with SOLEMNITY, beginning in the Gospels preferably, and beg Jesus Christ to reveal himself to you, and give him no rest until he does, for if you read the TRUE written Word of God, you will find the Lord of Glory, even Jesus Christ, moving upon the face of the waters in its pages, just as he moved upon the face of the waters when he walked across the Sea of Galilee, and if you follow the advice just given, and if you persist, Jesus Christ HIMSELF will verily MANIFEST HIMSELF to you (for he HIMSELF promises to do this for those who truly heed this advice), just as he MANIFESTED HIMSELF to his disciples when he moved upon the face of the waters as he walked across the stormy sea some two thousand years ago, and just as he did with ME not too many years ago, and just as he has done with a FEW others from day to day since that time, in this very generation, and just as he will do for YOU if -- IF -- you heed my advice, and if -- IF -- you persist therein, for he who promised is FAITHFUL.
